Resumen: El Consorcio Servicios de Tránsito de Manizales Stm, desde el 2013, viene gestionando la innovación para generar valor a sus procesos y servicios, siendo sus líderes, influenciadores importantes, lo cual sugirió determinar la relación entre los estilos de liderazgo y las habilidades creativas de los líderes de Stm. Para esta investigación con enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo correlacional, fueron empleados dos instrumentos: 1) Test Abreviado de Creatividad de Torrance y 2) Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), los cuales se aplicaron a 13 líderes de procesos de la organización.
Abstract: The Manizales Stm Transit Services Consortium, since 2013, has been managing innovation to generate value to its processes and services, with its leaders being important influencers, which suggested determining the relationship between leadership styles and the creative skills of Stm leaders. For this research with a quantitative approach of a correlational descriptive type, two instruments were used: 1) Torrance Creativity Abbreviated Test and 2) Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), which were applied to 13 process leaders of the organization. The main results of this research indicate that the predominant leadership style is the transformational one with IM motivational inspiration, and the creative skills strengthened among these leaders, in descending order are, fluency, flexibility, elaboration and originality, which, with the exception of the elaboration that shows a negative relationship with the predominant leadership style, the remaining 3 skills show no relationship with the aforementioned leadership The results of this research allowed us to conclude that IM transformational leadership does not influence the development of fluency, originality and flexibility, that is, that, although these leaders have the ability to motivate their followers, this does not influence the quantity, novelty and variety of their ideas; likewise, this style of leadership negatively influences the development of elaboration, that is, the greater the behaviors associated with IM transformational leadership, the lower the level of detail of their ideas, and vice versa.
