dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación exploratoria y preexperimental, de tipo positivo tuvo como objetivo describir las diferencias en la distribución de la atención visual de los traductores en formación en la realización de una tarea de lectura con mayor y menor frecuencia de unidades terminológicas. Para alcanzar este objetivo, seis participantes realizaron una prueba la cual consistió en leer dos fragmentos de un texto del ámbito de la medicina. Uno de los fragmentos con mayor frecuencia de unidades terminológicas y el otro con menor frecuencia de unidades terminológicas. La recolección de datos se realizó a través del instrumento Eye-Tracker y un cuestionario escala tipo Likert. Los resultados del estudio mostraron que la distribución de la atención visual de los traductores en formación presentaron diferencias respecto al fragmento de mayor y menor frecuencia de unidades terminológicas. Se observó mayor tiempo y mayor número de fijaciones en el fragmento de menor frecuencia de unidades terminológicas en contraste con el de mayor frecuencia de unidades terminológicas
dc.description.abstracteng	The current positive, exploratory and pre-experimental research was to establish the differences in the visual attention of translators in training process in a reading task with high or low recurrence of terminological units. To achieve this purpose, six participants performed the test in which they must read two fragments of a text from medicine. One of the fragment with higher recurrence of terminological units while the other one with lower recurrence of terminological units. Data was collected through the Eye-Tracker instrument and a Likert scale questionnaire. The results obtained showed that the distributions of the translators' visual attention varies depending on the high or low recurrence of terminological units of the texts. It was noticed that visual attention distribution was higher in the fragment with less recurrence of terminological units in contrast to the fragment with higher recurrence of terminological units
